In
the lives of individuals as well as an organization there are seasons
where we can be blinded. Our blindness can include losing track of Jesus
like Mary and Joseph once did. Additionally, lack of focus on the mission,
or no clear view of the master strategic plan can cause years of drifting
and frustration. Inexperienced management or worse, the right person in
the wrong place can cause blinding errors in judgment that drive families
from the ministry as well as put the ministry in legal jeopardy. Likewise,
a lack of resources or experience to correctly identify God’s plan
for the school can lead to confusing communication and become a marketing
nightmare. Finally, a lack of foresight financially (money can be discussed
in ministry) as well as burn out of leadership who may have simply needed
a mentor, can all lead to a debilitating blindness in the life of an organization.
Jesus may be coming to your school now as He did to the blind man in Luke
18: 35-43 with a simple question:
“What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man understood he had a need. He was humble. Jesus came to the
person, saw his potential and fulfilled his petition which was simply,
“that I may receive my sight.” Jesus may be coming to you
even now. Will you and your school hear the words Jesus shared with the
blind man, “receive your sight, your faith has made you well.”
